Dr. Saskia Schols
Saskia Schols is working as an internist-haematologist since august 2016 in the Radboudumc. She is involved in the healthcare of patients with bleeding disorders of the Haemophilia Treatment Center and the outward clinic of benign haematological disorders. This latter patient population consists of patients with hemoglobinopathies, paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria, trombocytopenias and anemias due to iron disorders. Besides, she is involved in scientific research in the field of rare bleeding disorders and hemoglobinopathies. Saskia received her PhD on the thesis about thrombin generation and fibrin formation in dilutional coagulopathy. Afterwards, she started the specialty training in internal medicine at the Maastricht University Medical Center. In 2013, she became fellow in the Department of Haematology of the Maastricht University Medical Center. She graduated in 2016 and was registered as an internist-haematologist.
