Specialized in benign hematologic diseases, e.g. anemias, hemoglobinopathies and clotting disorders. Research is focussed on anemia due iron metabolism disorders and to further optimize the diagnosis and treatment of patients with (rare) inherited disorders in the iron metabolism.
