NTBI/LPI

Background and utility

During the past years, we have developed, optimized and validated assays to measure non-transferrin-bound iron (NTBI) and its redox-active component labile plasma iron (LPI) in serum samples. These parameters can serve as therapeutic targets and as indicators for the efficacy of body iron-reducing therapies.
